We really enjoyed staying here. We wanted the Tuscany area without being in a big city. It was beautiful and we drove to some nearby villages that had the beautiful countryside rolling hills with cypress trees that are known in the Tuscany area.

Beautiful grand old hotel with high ceilings and wonderful frescoes in the room. When you wake up, it feels like you are living in the time of the Medici. The bathroom has no tub but the shower has 3 different heads with incredible power. You will not be disappointed if the strength of the shower is important to you. The blow dryer is terrible! Service is awesome! The food is the best in Florence! Dinner and breakfast.

This was our second stay at this hotel. It is in great condition. The rooms are very comfortable and spacious. The breakfast is very nice as well....there is a wide range of options, all displayed beautifully. The best part about the hotel might be the location. It is in the heart of town, just steps from the Duomo but also seems off the beaten path and remains very quiet.

I cant say enough about the hotel! When we arrived in a taxi we did not realize the taxi did not accept credit cards. We were a bit stressed as we had just traveled over 15 hours. Imran, the doorman came to our rescue and without any effort on our part, pulled out his wallet and paid for our taxi. We then exchanged cash in the hotel and promptly repaid him.
