Loved staying at the Castle Hotel. The staff were super friendly, checkin was quick, and for being above a bar- it wasn’t too loud. It is super close to the beach and the castle ruins and a brief 5 minute walk to all kinds of cute restaurants and shops. The only thing of note was the toilet took a bit to flush and the shower water was more tepid than hot but overall, I can’t say enough good things.
Lovely little room, very comfortable with some nice little touches. Easy to find, walking distance to everywhere we wanted to go, parking was easy to find nearby. 5 stars from us. Thank you!

Never checked in. Didn’t feel safe leaving the hire car in the neighborhood.
This is less a hotel, and more bed and breakfast. I was disappointment by not being able to drop a bag before check-in and the limited breakfast options. But the room was very comfortable, warm, and clean. The standby light from the TV was bright, but this is my only complaint with the actual room.
Overall a clean, spacious top floor room and bathroom with view of sea. Staff really friendly. Would stay again. Pillows thin and single bed of twin rather creaky. Bottled water not available as complementary item. Still slept well. Location very close to seafront/harbour and pretty quiet.

Shower didn’t work properly literally trickled out the shower head .
Bed not big enough for 2 adults but if you fell asleep on your back and didn’t move would be ok just about but if you move about in your sleep it’s not fit for purpose. Watch your should on the bedside cupboards too.
The last and final thing, other people staying they come back in a late evening. You can hear every door open close and slam as the room is directly above the entrance. I’m very loud people living in the Properties opposite and when opening window having a strong Smell of a substance.
Apart from this very clean throughout.
Young girl behind bar absolutely perfect at her job very welcoming polite and explained everything 10 out of 10.
Oh one more thing I forgot don’t get into watching anything because after 10 minutes TV just goes fuzzy this is on all channels.
Nice enough for, essentially, a room above a pub. But overpriced. No 24-hour reception (nobody there at 11.30 am when we wanted to leave bags in advance of check in).
This is a gem of a hotel, would recommend 110%.
Was friendly, value for money, clean, comfortable and nothing was any trouble and would definitely stay and recommend anyone to stay first class 🙂
