My wife and I were pleasantly surprised at the quality of the hotel. The desk clerk was particularly accommodating. The waiter at the restaurant was adequate but not more than that.

We had a wonderful stay. Anne Marie at the front desk was very helpful with everything from directions to places to eat, etc.
We were right in the middle of everything, shopping, hike up to the Fort, the train station, etc.
We went on to Barcelona by train from Lourdes
They recommended the New Orleans Cafe next door. Good food and a fun atmosphere. The waiters are very entertaining and offer great service
Definitely recommend this hotel if you are visiting Lourdes

The room was small but clean. The bed was comfortable. Breakfast was good. Parking was free. The staff was nice and helpful. The location was a bit far from the center of the city but otherwise everything was very good for the price.

This hotel was recommended by a friend. Very close to the St. Joseph gate of the Basilica. Make sure to bring a washcloth, hair rinse, and body lotion if desired, as these are not provided. The shampoo they provide is a combination shampoo/body wash. Staff was excellent; very helpful. will stay here again in my next visit.

The best area to stay in Adé is near the Sanctuary of Our Lady of Lourdes, particularly on the north side of the Gave de Pau river. This area offers convenient access to the primary pilgrimage sites and central amenities.
This neighborhood is the main hub for visitors, especially those on a pilgrimage. It's very walkable and features many hotels, restaurants, and souvenir shops clustered around the entrances to the Sanctuary. The Pont Vieux provides direct foot access across the river to the Grotto and Basilicas.
For couples seeking a more tranquil setting, the hotels located slightly further from the immediate Sanctuary entrances, perhaps on the higher ground overlooking the Gave de Pau, offer a quieter stay with pleasant views. These locations still provide easy walking access to the main sites while being removed from the busiest pedestrian traffic.

Early autumn also provides comfortable temperatures, usually between 18°C and 25°C (64°F to 77°F), and the landscape is often adorned with rich fall colors. The harvest season brings local markets to life with fresh produce and regional specialties. This period is ideal for travelers who enjoy culinary experiences and exploring local culture in a relaxed setting.
While July and August offer the warmest weather, great for enjoying the nearby lakes and rivers, this is also peak tourist season, meaning higher prices and more crowded attractions.
