The bathroom needs to be updated. Causes water to run everywhere and hard water odor is bad.

I loved everything about this resort! It was beautiful and peaceful.

We stayed in a swim up suite in building 5 the Family Side! Furniture scratched up chipped and dirty! Walls dirty and in need of painting, white headboards dirty, bed skirts wrinkled,curtains/drapes stained and also wrinkled! Shower in need of repair along with toilets. Staff: some nice some nasty. Food nasty in Buffet, Zen Restaurant food was tasty, Steakhouse and Calypso restaurants food was underwhelming, steak was seasoned good but sides not so good. We all had the red snapper in Calypso we have had better But it was ok, crab cake nasty and dry. This resort is under renovation we were told and when we went walking around the property we noticed room doors open and furniture thrown against the wall. This to me is a safety concern anyone could be in the rooms waiting to grab you when you walk by. All rooms should stay secure regardless of renovation and yes they remained open during the night. The grounds keepers came by while we were about to enjoy our swim out pool and the debris flew in the pool. We waited but no one never came to clean our pool the debris remained the next day as well so we could not use our swim out the last two days of our stay. We had a huge water bug/Roach in our bathroom and when we were not the only guest that experienced this, while at the pool several guest was discussing their run in with roaches as well. I was walking to my room and seen a huge rat outside by the restaurant! Royalton need ti closed down NOW and renovate and exterminate

Excellent and helpful staff. Basic amenities that many other hotels that would fall into this category, were missing unfortunately. Bottled water was only 2 small bottles when you check in, otherwise you have to get your own supply of fresh water to drink. No conditioner or lotion is supplied for guests, again you are on your own for this. The small touches that make you feel like you're being supplied with the very basic daily needs based on the price you pay for the visit were not considered. Because of these missing items it diminished my overall perception of what a quality hotel stay looks like.
