“Lovely hotel great location ”

“Excellent helpful staff from check in, restaurant, cleaning lady and bar staff”

“The hotel was beautiful and spacious. When we were there we ate both dinner and breakfast outside which was lovely, again looking over extensive grounds (although oddly the second tier of the garden below the main level was not well maintained at all) However the feel of the place was a bit chaotic and we heard a number of guests complaining about things which should have been easily remedied (tvs not right, AC not entirely working and so on) We had a lovely dinner but one of our servers made……

“Fantastic location for the event i was attending. Close to local shops, pubs & cafes. The hotel staff were polite, very warm, welcoming, accommodating & friendly - a totally lovely experience. Would highly recommend to family & friends. The hotel can only accommodate able body individuals..... no wheelchair access and no facilities Re: lifts The stairs are narrow in places”

“I was at the lower floor room right under the corridor, other hotel guests walking were very noisy. Other than this, the stay was brilliant”

“Th Leicester Inn is a very old listed property and as such has some wonderful aspects giving it great character. Being old and listed also means that modern features like double glazing and air conditioning are not present and we stayed on one of the hottest days of the year. Our room was very hot but a fan was provided and we were able to have an open window. There is a good size car park at the rear of the Inn. Food and service were superb.”

“Debra and Drew were very welcoming hosts. We used The Barn as a lauch pad to visit Chartwell and Knole. Perfect choice. The accommodation was beautifully decorated and impeccably clean. We were spoilt for choice regarding local eateries. We chose The White Hart for dinner and it was top knotch. ”

“The hotel is old but very nicely maintained and uniquely decorated; great food in the bar/restaurant, though a bit pricey for a very small community like this. Staff are helpful as well.”

“Rooms were ok. Bathroom was dire. I’m a size 10 … any bigger and the shower would be a struggle. It’s teeny tiny. There is no rack to put your shampoo on in the shower. So you have to put it on the floor and risk hitting your head against the wall as you pick it up. Overhead drencher shower did not work so had to use the hand shower. Bathroom floor had vinyl coming up the walls, like a boat, spattered with white paint. Dead fly on bathroom floor remained for the duration of the trip. Meals were……

“The room was lovely. We couldn't open 2 of the windows so it was an incredibly stuffy night. There was a fan provided but opening the windows would have been a better option. A small thing really.”
