Luxe 2 Bed Dome w Hot Tub, Deck, Fire Pit & Bath

The highlights:
- Unwind in the new hot tub

The Space:
Ever wanted to sleep under the stars? This “loft” style luxe glamping dome will have you sleeping at the highest point directly under the stars. Perfect for stargazing, watching the fall leaves, wintery snow days, and rainy afternoons. Our luxe glamping dome has everything you need for a unique getaway with gorgeous mountain views and modern furnishings - surely to make this a trip you won’t soon forget!

The dome includes:
- A cozy king bed & queen (loft type)
- An indoor full bathroom with a shower

- Smart TV where you can quickly sign in to your favorite streaming service

- Grill on the deck while enjoying the great outdoors

Please Note:
Aurora is part of a larger private retreat (Cooper Mountain) with two other domes nearby—one about 60 feet away and the other over 120 feet away. While you may catch a glimpse of other guests, Aurora still feels secluded with its own private hot tub, deck, and fire pit. If you’re interested in booking all three domes for a group stay, let us know!

Tucked into the mountains, Aurora offers a peaceful, one-of-a-kind escape surrounded by nature. Unlike traditional homes, domes aren’t completely sealed, so you may occasionally see a bug or two inside—especially in spring and summer when crickets and other small insects are more active. We do regular treatments and thorough cleanings, but nature sometimes finds its way in. If you’re looking for pristine, hotel-style perfection, this may not be the right fit—but if you love the outdoors and a touch of adventure, you’ll feel right at home.

Our team sweeps the deck, stairs, and walkways before each arrival, though you may still notice some leaves, pollen, or other natural elements, depending on the season. It’s all part of the mountain setting.

The property is reached by gravel, uneven, and winding roads. Most vehicles can access the dome without issue, but we recommend taking it slow, especially after rain or in winter. For added comfort, a 4WD/AWD vehicle with good clearance is ideal.

Wi-Fi is available, but due to the remote location, service may occasionally be slower or spotty. We suggest downloading any essential content in advance.

Thank you for understanding, and we hope you embrace the adventure—this peaceful, scenic setting is exactly what makes Aurora such a special mountain escape!

Between exploring the unique features of our dome and enjoying the wooded, mountainside vista, Aurora is the perfect vacation spot. The property is adjacent to a 37-acre private nature preserve, with plenty of hiking trails and areas to explore.

In addition, you’re about 20 minutes away from nearly countless wilderness attractions, including whitewater rafting at Pleasantdale’s Tearcoat Creek, lake swimming at Buffalo Gap Retreat in Capon Bridge, and hunting and fishing within the 400-acre forest of the Edwards Run Wildlife Management Area.

Enjoying West Virginia

When we arrived we were a little disappointed in how close the neighboring places were but it turned out not to be a problem. There are lots of trees but they didn’t have very many leaves so no shade. Small refrigerator but other than that we enjoyed it. It was a very unique place, it felt like you were sleeping outside.

Weekend Getaway

1st we get there didn’t get the lockbox code so I called they gave us a code it didn’t work? Then was told i was at the wrong place ?? Which I wasn’t ! Then they call back with another code it worked finally after 40 minutes of our arrival! Then the WiFi username & code didn’t work spent 3hrs talking to them to resolve that issue ! So our 1st night was spent dealing with issues that we shouldn’t have had too ! Then later that night the heat worked for about an hour & then it went out . I called they said we’ll get our handyman to come out well we waited & waited . Then we go to cook on the grill outside & it didn’t work ! Messaged & told them . He finally came out Saturday around 6:30pm so once again all day no AC or heat Saturday ! So he came out reset it said it may or may not stay on ? He did leave a small heater incase it went out ! Well it went out so once again no heat on our last night there . We woke up to it being 40’ in the luxe ! We love the concept of the luxe & everything was clean & nicely decorated as well ! What we didn’t like is the problems that we had to deal with on our 2 day vacation ! Everyone we spoke to was nice as well! We felt like we shouldn’t of had to deal with all of this especially since it was a newer luxe ! Our weekend getaway turned very frustrating to say the least ! Especially after all the money we spent !
