“We do not drop poor reviews lightly. We rented a two unit house for 5 nights for 3,000. Out confirmation said we would have the place to ourselves. Instead, we had noisy construction crews on site, without any warning. When we complained and specifically asked that no one be on site for the remainder of our stay, the host agreed. That is not what happened. The crews showed up daily, sawing through brick and mortar in what appeared to be an addition. This all happened right outside our door,……

“The people were nice but the place needs to change housekeeping. Our room was only done once in four days, despite hanging the card to have the room made up on the door. We had to chase down housekeeping multiple times. Often they would be sitting in other rooms on their phones when we found them. Also, the carpet is filthy in the rooms and every time we showered they water would turn black (we were barefoot in the room the first two days, but not after that).
