Lovely hotel and the spa is great and wasn't too busy. I liked the fact you had QR codes around the spa to allow you to order drinks to the pool side. Only thing that let it down was the price. I thought the drink and food were overpriced. Other than that, no complaints - staff were very friendly and helpful and the room was lovely. Breakfast was very nice.

The hotel is good but the internet isn’t good in the bedrooms and the tv keep going on and off and led on the kettle was Fred and was dangerous apart from that it was ok the restaurant was good but a bit expensive and we went down later on for something light to eat at the bar but they were not light snacks to eat apart from dinners

The 4 poster bed was like having to sleep on a hard wooden floor. It was so high off the floor with big wooden sides it hurt my legs to get in and out of bed. It is in need of modernisation, upgrading. Staff however were lovely and the spa was small but nice.

Very authentic historic hotel with atmospheric bedrooms and public areas. However restaurant extremely expensive and for us delivered poor food, scallops with sickly cheesy sauce and slab of dubiously cooked monkfish. Breakfast self serve great but cooked selection much less so, tasteless fry for me and undercooked watery mushrooms on soggy sourdough for wife. In summary great looking hotel let down by poor overly expensive food.
