The Edinburgh Cottage

Built in 1951, our Edinburgh Cottage, is a must see, must stay cottage. We are conveniently, located in the historical Southdown area of the red stick state in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. We are a short walking distances to the Sprouts Farmers Market, 1.9 miles from the LSU Lakes; 3.0 miles from LSU Campus; 3.3 miles from Tiger Stadium & Alex Box Stadium; & 4.6 miles from downtown Baton Rouge. You may see a cat or raccoon that roam outside during your stay. Come stay & enjoy all your points of interest, hotspots and restaurants in our area.

The house was adorable and super clean! 3 bedrooms, nice size bathroom, great natural lighting and lamp lighting (both of which I’m a huge sucker for). There was a very friendly kitty cat outside who greeted us when we first pulled up, which my kids really enjoyed. Multiple kids board games inside that kept my kiddos occupied while we were there. The whole vibe is extremely cozy and family friendly and we just loved it. Major bonus points for having a couch with reclining seats!! My dad had an accident last year that broke his neck, so he has really bad back pain now and struggles to get comfortable. So for him, being able to sit down and recline after we got back from our event that night was a major help! If we ever need to stay in Baton Rouge again, this will definitely be our first choice. Thanks again!

LSU Game Day weekend

Home was very clean. A very roomy space with 3 nice bedrooms. Location was perfect to the LSU campus. Just enough distance from crazy campus to nice quiet end of the day.

Dropping off our Freshman

We had a great stay at Edinburgh cottage. We stayed while dropping off our daughter for her freshman year at LSU. It was conveniently located near campus and everything else we needed. We will definitely be staying again over the next 4 years. The house was great and quite cozy! The owners were great with communication and even left this Tiger mama with lots of tissues! We look forward to another stay here.

Everything was great. We were only there for about 14 hours on a stopover from our drive back home. The property was as advertised and the hosts made check-in and check-out very easy. And the property was conveniently located in the city. The home was very clean and put together well. The only minor issue was that one of the comforters had a hole in it with stains. But all else was great for our stay.

One of Best

Came in for the weekend. The check in was super easy. Came inside and got settled. All three rooms had queen size beds. Im a big guy and need a big mattress. All three beds were super comfy. Rooms were adequate for what I needed. This place would have worked for me if I was here for a month or just a weekend. Awesome little cottage! I was really surprised at how everything was conveniently located to the cottage. The neighborhood was super quiet and relaxed. I would definitely stay here again in the future and recommend to anyone looking to stay in the area.
