Does not compare to a hotel though. Their high rating should not be compared against a hotel’s high rating. This is a good motel for quick business but not for a family trip. Room had an extremely strong smell of smoke. The staff was friendly and attentive but this is definitely not where you’d want your family/kids to stay. Perfectly fine for business travel or quick travel stop for a night. Decently clean. Well lit at night but “crowd” did not give you the safest feeling. It is BR after all. Felt happy that they had an armed security guard there though. Family run, they are friendly and seem to take pride in the property. Just one driveway in and out that goes by the front office, so felt secure. Arrived back from football game after midnight and was happy to see it well-lit, with a bright light above each door. Room furniture is dated but the bed and pillows were very comfortable. Very clean room. Only insect I saw was a harmless caterpillar in the bathroom. Had a fridge and microwave and good tv. After leaving my room, I saw housekeeping immediately enter and remove all my bedding, so can confirm it gets washed between guests. She left the the female owner. Came back to the room and close the door no clean towels. Sunday check out was at eleven o'clock. 10:10 the female owner didn't knock open the door told me it was check out. I told her it wasn't eleven plus i was waiting on my car to come. And it was 10:16 a.m. and she took the key. Its wasn't nice at all. Plus i made my reservation it to paid when i made there Friday. They had already changed Friday on my card before i got there. Then i had two paid the second day before i got the key it was $97 and some changes but gave 100.00 and never got back the 2.80\. Will never go back there again.
