"We were told we were upgraded to a villa. The villa was located at the opposite end of the property far away from the center of the resort where all restaurants and activities were. The villa was not clean when we got there. The shower curtain was in the sink, the floors and the kitchen were dirty and there were no comforters on the bed. The staff at the front desk were rude (specifically the evening shift). They were not accommodating at all. I would not recommend this resort to anyone. "

"I had a wonderful stay at The Marina Resort. One of the best things about this property is its ideal location. It’s perfectly situated close to several great restaurants and some of Antigua’s most beautiful attractions, including Nelson’s Dockyard and Pigeon Beach. Everything you’d want to explore is just a short walk or drive away, which made the stay even more enjoyable. The resort itself is absolutely beautiful. What I really appreciated was how well they’ve preserved the old-fashioned, historic charm of the property. It feels authentic and unique, and the grounds are very well maintained. There’s something special about the classic Caribbean style and the peaceful marina setting that gives the whole place a timeless atmosphere. The staff were also incredibly friendly and helpful throughout my stay. Everyone was welcoming, attentive, and always willing to assist with anything needed, which really added to the overall positive experience. The only small downside is that the bathrooms aren’t very modern. For younger travelers who love bright lighting, big mirrors for photos, or a nice setup for doing makeup, the bathrooms might feel a little basic. That said, they’re clean, functional, and there is reliable hot water, so it didn’t take away from the overall comfort of the stay. Overall, it’s a lovely place to stay if you appreciate character, history, and a fantastic location close to some of the best spots in the area."

"When we arrived at the Copper and Lumber store they had double booked our room for 2 or the 5 nights. When we explained we hadn't heard from neither them or expedia and in fact had a check in reminder they offered nothing advising we had to find alternate accommodation. We spent over 5+ hours going between the hotel and expedia as neither party wanted to take ownership/payment of any new accomodation options for us even though they had the $2500 from my existing reservation. This hotel does not care and if you are traveling alone please be warned you could be on an island alone without accommodation so please have a back up plan. Also good to note their fish fry Friday they speak of on the website is subpar and served cold! By far one of the worst travel experiences I have had."

"Sitting hillside above Galleon Beach is this small but functional apartment with a view that is frankly exceptional, and a plunge pool that makes your stay enjoyable even if you spend most of the time exploring the island beaches. Arrange with Yori to have Sheppy transport meet you at the airport, make a stop at First Choice grocery for water, English Bay rum and beer, then sit back and learn about the island from one of best taxi drivers on this planet. The neighborhood is gated somewhat. The stairs up are not easy, but you will get used to them as us 70 y/os did. Travel time from airport abt 1 hour, 50US. Arrange with Sheppy for rides to other beaches. He is always on time. The roads on the island are not for the faint of heart. We are coming back. We are pretty certain you will too."

"This house is much bigger than it appears. The kitchen was well stocked and the house clean. Two of the rooms had split air units and all the rooms had ceiling fans so we were very comfortable. You definitely need to rent a jeep with the house because the last road/driveway to the house is extremely rough and you’ll need the jeep. The view from the house is breathtakingly beautiful. The drive from the airport is about 45-60 minutes. The house had several water toys/snorkeling gear and a home gym. If you are expecting an American-style hotel this house is not this level, but for the Caribbean it was really nice. Mike the host is slow to respond but eventually answers all your questions. Once we stared communicating with his wife she responded quickly. "
