Relaxing spa hotel.

Posted Apr 20, 2017
Pros: The location was beautiful and the grounds were impeccably kept. We thought the facilities were fabulous if rather busy.
Cons: Discourage people from keeping loungers with their towels which stops others using them.
Location: Great walks around and about the hotel.
We wanted to totally relax after our sons wedding (which went on until the small hours the previous night), but were in a room with a locked adjoining door. The other side of the door were young people who were laughing and talking until well into the night, past 1.30 am which precluded ourselves getting any sleep. Such a shame as the hotel is beautiful in every way. I could not understand why we were put in this room. The staff were very apologetic and sorry the next day and gave us £40 off the bill but it didn't feel much as we went home shattered and not refreshed ready to go back to work the next day. If we come back we have been offered an upgrade and late check out, so maybe we will try again, but it was very disappointing.

Best Spa experience we have ever had

Posted Apr 2, 2017
Pros: All round - everything was very good
This was our second trip to Galgorm this year. Last time we stayed on a Friday night and whilst everything was fine - the spa area was pretty busy. This time we stayed on the Wednesday & Thursday nights and things were much quieter and more relaxed.

We were attending an evening wedding reception in the hotel . We had great service from the minute we walked in. We went to Fratelli`s for meal in the evening which was also excellent rustic italian food.,The new thermal spa village is also a unique experience and a great way to recover.

Fabulous Hotel

Posted Nov 12, 2016
Pros: Everything about our week-end stay was great. We've stayed here before and never been disappointed.
Cons: Nothing
Location: Dark Hedges from Game of Thrones. Harry's Shack for food at the beach. Fred Funk for great shoes.
The furnishings, staff and especially the spa are fabulous. Alison , in the spa, was particularly nice and thoughtful and Mark the porter was attentive. The food is great and the gardens awesome.

Very comfortable spa hotel, great wedding venue

Posted Nov 5, 2016
Pros: This was a great hotel for weddings, tourism or a combination, or to have a comfortable stay, with the spa. The spa had a good range of facilities.
Cons: The design of the breakfast room meant that most tables were either very close to each other or in areas where people were constantly walking past.
Location: The coast and Giant's Causeway were 40 minutes drive. Also nearby was Dark Hedges an ancient beech tree glade which featured in Game of Thrones.
We recently stayed for a friend's wedding. We also had some time to drive around some of the attractions of the North Antrim coast. We booked a superior room, which was fantastic. It was very comfortable, with a quiet, perfectly controlled air conditioning system. The bed and pillows were the most comfortable of any hotel I have stayed in for years. The room overlooked there grounds with a view of the river. The wedding itself was very efficiently run, with obviously great opportunities for photos in the picturesque grounds. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. The room had a complimentary mini-bar, which is very unusual. All the public areas were comfortable and with a great ambience. The breakfast was very nice but the design of the Gillies restaurant meant that most of the tables were either very close with no privacy or next to a walkway where people were constantly walking past to get to the buffet. Because of this for an evening meal we chose to eat in the bar area rather than the restaurant. The bar had very nice private tables and the food was the same as in the restaurant itself. A great feature and very unusual was the Gin Bar with a vast range of gins, and staff who were able to advise on which one to choose.
