By far the worst hotel I've ever stayed in!

Pros: absolutely nothing!
Cons: Needs completely renovated!
Location: in a "not so nice" part of town
Stayed here one night (8/14/15) From the desk person (who was unshaven and shirt was stained with holes in it), to the room, this was a horrible experience. The ice machine was behind a locked door next to check-in desk (we we're given access by front desk guy...only to find 4 cans of beer in the ice machine). Once in our room, there were no bedspreads on the beds (front desk guy said they are taken off in the summer??) We found hair in the sinks, on the bathroom floor and hair on the bath towels. Bathtub was filthy. When we ask the front desk guy why the hotel was in this condition, his reply was "because the new owner bought the property 3 years ago and has spent 1.5 million to renovate, and is still in the process of fixing things up". I should have taken pics. Expedia should NOT list this on their site.

One ice machine for 5 floors. Toilet took 1/2 hour to flush! Black ring in bathtub from not being cleaned. No cable or Wi-Fi...

Inexpensive Hotel. You get what you pay for

The outside of the hotel is probably the best part. Very bright and decorative lighting. Lobby had a weird cleaner smell like they were trying to cover something else up. Rooms were clean but in desperate need of some upgrading. Beds weren't too bad and the bathroom was fine. The ice machine was down the whole weekend and they were out of towels for the pool area. Hard to complain when the room was only $80 on a summer weekend, but I will probably not go back anytime soon.

Close to Car Show venue in St. Joseph, Michigan

Cons: Some of bathrooms could be updated...
Location: We came to St. Joseph/Benton Harbor area for a car show.
A very good front desk employee when we checked in. Needed adjoining rooms because we travel with a handicapped senior who cannot be alone, but wants privacy. Night clerk was extremely accommodating. Also, had great parking for people with travel trailers... felt safe.

Horrible Hotel in a terrible area

Location: Bad location in a depressing area.
We were competing in the Ironman Steelhead 70.3 race and picked this hotel for the proximity and price. It seemed reasonable until I realized the rate was more than doubled because of the event and ALL hotels in the area were sold out. Our check in experience was the highlight of the stay. The staff was friendly... That's the best thing I can comment on. The lobby had a strange smell. The common area was rundown and dirty. The elevator seemed like it could breakdown at any moment. Water stains marked every ceiling. Our room was Filthy. The sofa was covered in stains. The top of the comforter was also stained but it wasn't until I pulled it back that I fully understood how completely soiled it was. Then there was the brownish flecks of something in the sheets... I brushed them out but would rather not know what they were. There was a balcony door that when I opened for some fresh air I disturbed the cockroaches that were living in the track. Disgusting! The drain stop in the sink was broken so the sink wouldn't drain. The toilet barely flushed and the coffee maker didn't work at all. The mini fridge and microwave seemed to work ok... The only other plus to the trip. All in all this place was hugely overpriced even if I were charged the standard rate. If there had been any other options I would have left the hotel the second I stepped into my room.

It was inexpensive and as expected a bit older but perfectly fine for my 2 night stay. There was no noise problems from the interstate and the room was clean

Claimed not to have Expedia confirmed reservation

Pros: NOTHING. Would have been close to race location.
Cons: Taking this hotel off of Expedia.
When I tried to check-in with my April confirmation email/number from Expedia , the guy on duty denied I had a reservation and said he had nothing in my name and he needed a number from Expedia. After waiting in line again and presenting my confirmation email/number from Expedia dated 8/6, he continued to deny I had a reservation and claimed they didn't have a reservation with my name and couldn't find it using the confirmation number. Efforts by Expedia to resolve the situation were either unsuccessful or ignored by the hotel. As a result, I had no room the night before the Steelhead 70.3 Triathlon, a half Ironman triathlon for which I had trained for months and for which I had paid big buck to participate. Ended up sleeping on the ground in a tent with teammates, which caused severe neck pain due to neck fusion and totally ruined my race experience. A nightmare.

Worst bed ever!

The bed in our room was so broken down it was impossible to get a good nights sleep. The individual at the front desk assured me I would like our room...NOT! There are so many quality hotels in the area, I'm not sure how this one stays in business.

Could use a lot of work

Me and my family have stayed here before and out experience wasn't bad but this time it was horrible, first of all the elevator got stuck going up to our room, then when we got to out room the tub was dirty an beds had no comforter on it, just two flat sheets and something that was supposed to be a blanket but was stiff as a piece if card board, when we asked for a more blankets because our room was cold, we were told they didn't have any blankets and that we should turn the heat on! On top of that after coming back from a funeral we were tired and exhausted and just wanted to lay down, got to our room and neither of our cards worked, so I had to go back down stairs where the lady proceeded to tell me that our cards had expired since we only paid for a night, but I knew the amount we paid was for two nights, finally after some convincing she finally looke into the system to see that we paid for two nights and then she proceeded to tell me that I must of added a day after we checked in that's why it wasn't working.This probably will be our last time staying here.

A one night stayover

Pros: The price
Cons: the lobby house keeping and fix the AC.
Location: We did not do other things in the area
The hair dryer did not work, the temperature control on the AC did not work. The shower kept going form hot to cold. The sign in the lobby said restaurant closed but coffee and toast available in the am. There was no toast.
