Bergenhus Fortress played an important defensive role over the years. Now a historic attraction, you can just imagine some of the scenes its fortified walls have witnessed.
Situated in Bergen City Centre, this history-filled fortress is worth including in your schedule. But you'll find lots more to see in this area. Floibanen Funicular, Mt. Floyen, and Grieg Hall aren't too far from Bergenhus Fortress.
