"The location is excellent, right in the middle of town, great for exploring. Room was very basic and being honest, a bit smelly. But i just needed a bed for the night, so wasn't that bothered. The staff were really friendly and helpful, especially the lady on reception. It was my first time in Shrewsbury for many years and without her guidance i would not have found the carpark. Thanks you. The breakfast the next morning was excellent and very needed after a long night!"

"We had a twin room, which was on the top floor. Although the bathroom was private, it was small and across the landing, which was a tad inconvenient in the middle of the night. The bedroom was noisy and very light, even with the curtains closed. We expected to hear noise from the pub underneath. However there was a lot of noise from the street below. The windows are single glazed and would definitely benefit from having secondary glazing"

"We stayed for one night on a work trip and had an absolutely excellent experience. The hotel was lovely, full of beautiful 17th-century features and charm. The quaint little town was absolutely picturesque, and the surrounding scenery was beautiful. I was really impressed with the area. Plenty of parking around the back of the hotel. My room was very spacious, and the breakfast was honestly the best I’ve had in a long time. The staff were all so friendly, pleasant and accommodating, making us feel very welcome throughout our stay. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this hotel, and it would definitely be my first choice if I’m visiting the area again. A real gem!"

"Spent one night at the Mount Inn with my dog. Space is very dog friendly, comfortable and clean. There were a few parking spaces around the back, very useful. Breakfast was lush. I also ate in the pub downstairs for dinner and got some great walking tips from other people."

"Well where do I start, the staff were excellent as they were so helpful, caring and very friendly. The hotel had a great atmosphere and the food was excellent as well as being very tasty. Being treated by the cat was lovely as it was so friendly and waited for us at the top of the stairs when we came to our room. So much looking at planning to go back for another visit."
