“I stayed here 4 nights with my dog and this place is excellent value for money! Communication with host was prompt and helpful. The place was really cute, a good mix of updated and traditional. It was very clean, well equipped and super convenient for all the restaurants, shops and galleries in downtown Black Mountain. As the hosts mention in the description, this IS an old building and as such, the apartment is not perfect inside and you can sometimes hear neighbors, but the reasonable price……

“Room "looked" clean, but I saw 2 cockroaches as soon as I turned on the bathroom light. Then, there was another one when I pulled back the bed covers under the covers. Then later on I saw 2 more crawling up the wall behind the TV. They definitely need to bomb for them. Chair smelled like dog. Probably need to shampoo both the rug and the chair. Breakfast was good tho. And it was cheap. But I won't be back. ”

“We stayed at the Dogwood Treehouse during the ice storm FERN in January of 2026. We knew going in that there was a chance we could get stuck, but we had been planning this trip for nearly a year and didn’t want to cancel. We don’t get away very often just the two of us, and we’re so glad we didn’t.The cabin was outstanding. It was extremely clean, very well maintained, and thoughtfully stocked. The kitchen had everything we needed, including quality pots and pans and all the little essentials……

“Excellent property and location for both Asheville and Biltmore Mansion. Home was very accommodating, immaculately kept. Our two toy poodles loved the back fenced yard Really enjoyed visting the town of Black Mountain. Everyone was extremely friendly and very talented artist. Thank you for being so attentive during our stay. We will definitely be returning. ”
