I messaged the resort the day prior advising our flight number and estimated time of arrival at the resort. Unfortunately my room wasnt ready (4pm local time) I was told to wait another 30mins. I said the room should have been ready at 2.30pm. I then had to wait another 7mins while they figured out another room. We got to the block we were staying in we were met with this intense smell or chicken poop (like a chicken farm) and sewage. This smell remained for the duration of the stay. We then had to drag our suitcases up 6 flights of stairs (3 levels) to our room (Garden Terrace room) we were meet with a dirty room. I did not complain because I was made to feel I was an inconvenience and we were put there because I had complained on arrival. The food was reasonably priced, but drinks were expensive eg can of coke was $6 (NZD). Thr restaurant and pool and amenities (spa) were great! Our cleaning staff were absolutely lovely, restaurant staff one lady in particular everyday when taking your order (not isolated to us) would ask what you wanted but was too busy having personal conversations with other staff in fijian language then would re ask you what you want, this was everytime. She would have a dismissive look like she had better things to do, she done a lot of eye rolling. You would be talking to her then she just rudely starts laughing and talking to other staff in another language, local kuki staff were very lovely. You got a different service. Particular staff ruined it.
