I was going to spend a long weekend for the first time in Waycross. My wife and I were attending a seminar at the Lions Club's Camp for the Blind. Not being sure what to expect - both at the Camp and in Waycross, I looked for the nicest lodging I could find. I was pleasantly surprised with both. The camp was very well ran and maintained - and the lodging was top notch at the Best Western. A very quick and easy check in, immaculate room, beautiful lobby and upscale breakfast area. For a small town, hotel was right in the center of everything. Next to all the restaurants and shops. Hotel itself was nice, clean, and quiet. Staff was friendly and the free breakfast was great.

Everything was great, but noticed a manager parks under check in roof 2 days in a row. Also she yelled at some kids who had gotten out of pool for getting her carpet wet when they came back in. Front desk staff was very, very nice.

Had to evacuate for Hurricane Matthew. Wasn't expecting much in the small town. Service was PHENOMENAL!! Building and rooms were very well maintained, much better than most other Days Inn. Beds were extremely comfortable and rooms were SUPER CLEAN!! I appreciated everything they did for us and the owners were very ACCOMODATING to everyone's needs. They deserve recognition for corporate for the outstanding job they do representing Days Inn. THANKS!!
