It is a lovely boutique, micro-resort perfectly situated in the Daintree. Cabins/rooms are a stunning oasis. Serene and relaxing (though the critters can be loud at night). There are only eight cabins in total, so the property is always quiet, with very little human traffic roaming about. Staff are fantastic. Sasha seems to run a one-man show with support from a few others in the background. He offered many suggestions for sightseeing and kindly arranged all of my meals. Merci Sasha - bon travail! The tiny whirlpool is perfect for a cool down from the heat and extreme humidity. Food was excellent and great value. They accommodated my vegetarian needs well and a great selection of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages. Formidable StarLink WiFi in the restaurant/lounge area. Mobile reception is very poor, but present in some pockets of the property. Convenient on-site parking. Did not see the hotel Cassowary this visit, maybe next time!
