“Such a peaceful haven in the mountains! The staff are really nice and the rooms are nice too. Great place to have as a base camp for visiting nearby waterfalls.”

“We were very impressed with the accommodations. The furniture, decor, kitchen was well equipped for a weekend getaway. The suite was perfect for 2 people and our teen slept on the couch, but ended up in the massive king bed alongside us the second night. The Lodge is a cool area for recreating and the bar (opening soon) was a hip little addition—LOVE the ceiling. We enjoyed eating on the back patio in the evening and we even had a visit from a black bear while sitting just outside the back……

“The place is beautiful and tucked into the woods. I recommend taking a screenshot of the instructions while you have cell service since it cuts in and out when you're that deep in the hills. You have wifi in the room which is great. Loved the property! There's a community kitchen in the lodge for all your cooking needs.”

“The lodge is conveniently located less than 10 mins outside of downtown Helen. It’s positioned on a secluded hillside just off the main 2 lane road. The building and decor does feel a bit outdated but adds to the charm. We stayed in the “Family Suite” which was a split level room. It was great having a separate sleeping area from the kids. I’m 6’4 and had to really bend over to get up the stairs in our suite but wasn’t a huge deal for a few days. We were a bit disappointed they didn’t……

“Facility is old but serious efforts have been made to update. New dropped ceilings, fairly new furnishings, new paint, quaint etc. Very clean and comfortable. I had very limited contact with staff, but that was pleasant. There was some road noise but not terrible. Spacious parking was at the room entry. Some of the room photos are misleading. Be sure to designate whether you was street front or creek side. Also be prepared for a 3% credit card charge. The most serious negative was the high step……

“This is my second stay. Love this place. It is older but that's the charm. The staff is always wonderful and the restaurant has been consistently good. Its bar food, but they do it well.”
