5 / 5 Excellent
We had booked The Kendall after our flight was cancelled. Hotel rooms were becoming scarce, so we reserved a hotel with shuttle service to the San Antonio Airport.
This botique hotel was a gem. It was an older hotel on Boerne's town square. They had rooms, hotel style, and then they had specialty housing. After entering the hotel, we walked through a court yard to our room in the back. We stayed in one of their reconstructed cabins from the past. This cabin, Lancaster 2, was modernized inside to the extent not to change the character of cabin. Bathroom had been modernized to todays standards but everything else was original. There were two cabins and a old church building in a quaint village setting. It was a beautiful experience.
The Kendall had a bar and restaurant on site. Peggys restaurant was just as quaint as everything else, food was excellent and the service was the best that I have seen, comparable to a high end restaurant.
Their Airport Shuttle was a free shuttle even though they were 35 minutes from the airport.
In all this was a beautiful experience for being stranded.
My thanks to The Kendall and their staff!
