“This was better than I expected. I would love to come and stay for a week and just relax. It is on a quiet farm the back of the property in the woods right on a stream and with the fall colors having all the windows on the ceiling and around the room were amazing. The bathroom you do have to go outside to use what it’s attached to the building and it has a little heater so it was not a big deal. It was magical to say the least. I would stay here again and highly recommend recommended to others. ”

“Clean, cute, comfortable cottage! Our family including our dog enjoyed our relaxing stay - movies by the fire, hot baths, crafting at the kitchen table, and cooking good food. We had fun in the area - hiking state parks (Mount Jefferson and Rendezvous), National Park System Brinegar Cabin, Blue Ridge Parkway, Emerald Hollow Mine, Love Valley (horse only town) Christmas parade/ tree lighting, and a mead flight at Stardust Cellars (kid and dog friendly). “The Blue Door Cottage is a wonderful get-a-way. The guesthouse is warm and inviting. The grounds are beautiful. The pictures on the site are on point. Our family enjoyed walking to see the neighbors' alpaca and horses. Would definitely recommend.”
