“I called a few days ahead of our stay to let them Know that my daughter was celebrating her 16th birthday on that day and if they could do anything special for this. They said they couldn’t as they only provide champagne for adults and they are very busy so won’t have time. I suggested maybe a small card and a few chocolates just as a welcome gesture. He sighed and seemed annoyed I had pushed the point. When we arrived I noticed the carpets in bedrooms were very obviously stained and worn out.……

“We were greeted with a handshake which is always a good start. Our hosts, Neil and Rosemarie were welcoming and eager to make sure our stay was a good one. Our room was spacious as was the bathroom and shower. We were pleased with the coffee machine and the fridge on the landing for the cold milk. “Enjoyable 2 night stay with my mother in a spacious twin room. Room fan provided to help with heatwave. Ample room refreshments and willingly replenished, Excellent breakfast. The mostly young staff were friendly, very helpful and professional. The downstairs interior was modern and comfortable with a lovely, airy seaside feel. Kept very clean inside and outside. Nothing remiss here. Would stay again. Long stay parking initially not easy to find in Sidmouth but we were lucky to get one of the……

“All excellent as expected. Wonderful staff, excellent food you were really treated like an important diner. Room was great (shower a little small) huge bath though. You must book if you want parking. Pity cars and vans park outside spoils sea view from patio and restaurant.”
