“This was a great place to stop on our way through Texas. The Magnolia suite had everything we needed and was decorated in a lovely manner. Our host was very friendly and prepared a delicious and generous breakfast. The location is very convenient for shopping and restaurants- the little downtown area is very charming. “Our stay at the Magnuson Hotel in Commerce was extremely disappointing. The biggest concern was safety. None of the exterior doors to the building were locked. I personally checked every exterior entrance, and every one of them allowed unrestricted access to the hallways and guest rooms. The check-in process was frustrating. Before arriving, my father and I called twice to confirm that my mother, who has mobility issues, would have a room with a walk-in shower. When we checked in, we were……

“Booked this room because it said an RV park and motel on the lake. We were looking for a place family could stay in the motel and we could camp during the Crappie Fest next year. What a joke! The RV park is a trashy full-time trailer park. The so-called convenience store had zero air conditioning, nothing on the shelves and definitely nothing to order for dinner.
