“HIghland Lake Resort is a very comfortable, family-oriented place with motel-style units on two sides of the property and what looked like larger units and a function room adjoining an old New Englander house. There is a large central recreational area with a fire pit and seating. A short walk to the lake will bring you to wooden swings and other assorted seating. It's like camp! “This was our 2nd time staying here, to attend a nearby annual event. We were again very comfortable in our room and slept well. We did not take advantage of all the hotel has to offer, as we were busy at our event. The included breakfast buffet has many carb options that are good, including waffles, but the protein choices were awful - yes, they were hot, but they were the usual pre-made fake eggs and mystery-meat sausages, and everything to put on the waffles was cheap sugar.
