“We received a warm welcome and the owners were friendly and polite. The abbey was easy to locate and our room was comfortable and a good size. The breakfast is excellent and you can walk to a nearby pub for dinner. Pleased to see parking was provided as well. From here we explored the jail, Fowey, Charlestown and everything in between so it’s a central location. I would recommend the abbey for a nice place to stay if you want to see the surrounding areas.”

“Clean and quiet, very comfy bed. Staff were very friendly and helpful, even when I’d asked about a bowling club in Modbury that a family member used, the lovely bar staff said she’d find out for me. Fantastic full English with great sausages. Nothing seemed too much trouble Thanks for a great stay at a difficult time.”

“Fully enjoyed our two nights there with our only issue being the requirement to select menu for breakfast before 8 pm each night. Missed the message on the second night and it clearly was problematic. Our fault but not everyone is watching messages on holiday.”

“The inn is steeped in history and in a remote, quiet spot. Unfortunately our room had been left with unsightly water marks as a result of a leaking roof (which has been fixed) all over the ceiling, especially above the bed, and wall. It made the room look very shabby and for the price not great value. The floating floor feels like it’s a sinking floor in some spots and you need to tread lightly. The bathroom is modern and spacious. The staff were lovely, very welcoming and friendly.”

“Nice little one night stopover visiting Bude. Ample parking and easy to find. Straight road into Bude. A little isolated so make sure you buy supplies from Bude on the way back. A few spiderwebs and bugs in the room when we arrived but only because the window was left open thankfully because it was such a hot day. Paula the host was very helpful and friendly start to finish. Will stay again if we visit Bude again.”

“Very pleasant 1 night stay. No complaints about anything. Hope to return in summer to enjoy the garden. Very popular with the locals by the look of it. It would be my choice of place to meet friends and family if I were local. Loved the roaring real fire when we arrived on a cold wet day. ”

“Staff were friendly, room is very outdated and had a strange smell. Beds were average, shower was good. Breakfast in the morning wasn’t fantastic, we paid £120 for one night stay with breakfast but not sure it’s quite worth that to be honest. Wouldn’t stay here again.”

“Escales per arribar a l.hotel. Bones vistes de Looe. Molt cèntric. Esmorzar recent cuinat. Exterior una mica brut a causa de les gavines. Amabilitat dels propietaris, molt familiar. Hi ha un aparcament al davant car, però abans d.arribar al poble hi ha aparcament gratuït de les 18h a les 9h.”
