We would have preferred to stay in the newer building with suites and an elevator. I did inquire sbout upgrading prior to our arrival. The staff was very helpful . Afternoon snacks were not as advertised. Our room was the smallest room we have ever been in. Seemed like no one was there after 5. If you went out after 5 u had to lock the door and a special code to open it upon return

Got to the Inn around 6pm and no one was at the check in desk. It took a while to find the envelop with the room key. Would have been helpful to get a text about the key location.

Understand this is a historic house and rooms are cramped, musky smelling and the floors are slanted and creaky. There are no convenient outlets next to the bed and the bed itself was terribly uncomfortable. Window unit and dehumidifier did not improve the air quality and were very loud. Hopefully they just assigned us a very bad room? Property is beautiful and the staff was lovely but I will not return!
