There's loads to do in Mylapore, but venture farther afield and you'll find more sightseeing magic. Organize a set of wheels and you can meander around the greater area at your own pace. Add these fantastic drives to your travel schedule:

• Tirupati is about 70 miles from Mylapore. Renowned attractions like Venkateshvara Temple should be at the top of your list here.
• Next stop? Consider Vellore, which is around 75 miles away. Sripuram Golden Temple is one local hot spot you won't want to miss.
• Make your way to Lalbagh Botanical Gardens to discover some local nature. Take a picnic to enjoy or just relax and unwind. From Mylapore, it's 180 miles away.

If you don't hold a driver's license issued in India, then you may need to apply for an International Driving Permit (IDP) in your place of residence in order to rent a car. You should also be aware that if an IDP is required, it won't be valid on its own. You'll be asked to show your driver's license from your home country your passport and other forms of ID as well. Lastly, make sure the credit card you used to book the rental matches the name on your license and passport. Some other requirements for international car rentals are:
