Varsity has plenty to keep you busy, but don't limit yourself to one place. Book a set of wheels and hit the open road to see what else awaits in the wider area. Here are some great options:

• Red Deer is about 85 miles from Varsity. Popular attractions like Peavey Mart Centrium deserve a place on your must-see list here.
• Next stop? Consider Lethbridge, which is around 110 miles away. Enmax Centre is one local draw card you won't want to miss.
• Make tracks to Athabasca Falls to rediscover nature. Take a picnic to enjoy or just recharge your batteries in the fresh air. From Varsity, it's about 190 miles away.

If you don't hold a driver's license issued in Canada, then you'll likely need to acquire an International Driving Permit (IDP) in your place of residence in order to rent a car.
