“I really wanted to make this stay work. The heat index was over 100 degrees. When I unlocked the door the inside was considerably warmer. It took the room air conditioner a couple hours to cool down enough that I could go to sleep. A bathroom fan would have helped to exhaust the trapped heat. Otherwise nice.”

“The Guest House in Carthage is your basic 1960’s Motel that has been renovated with updated interiors and a good kiss of maintenance on the outside. Everything was clean. Nothing was particularly special, but it was what I needed near the end of a long motorcycle journey. The gentleman who checked me in was professional, kind, and polite, even lending me his carport to protect my bike from the elements and provide a modicum of security. I would definitely stay there again and recommend it……

“The place was great for our stay to visit the Precious Moments Chapel. The beds were comfortable and the home was very clean. It’s conveniently located one block from the convenience store, grocery store, Dollar General and Scooters. My little suggestion would be to have a mirror in each bedroom. We had three women getting ready and only one bathroom having the only mirror in the house. We enjoyed our stay very much and would stay again if we make any more trips to Carthage!”
