No elevator to go to the rooms upstairs. The reception is hard to find, you will need to be in good shape to get around the hotel a lot of stairs

Our stay was great!! From the staff to the room to the breakfast! It was a trendy and chic boutique hotel with spacious and very clean rooms. Comfy beds and pillows. The only small issue we had was the shower set up…water splatters a little out of the shower, but it did dry up pretty quick, definitely not something that would deter us from coming back. 24 hour market, cute shops and great places to eat!! Breakfast was just enough to fuel you up for the day and was always hot and fresh!!! Francisco and Marco were awesome and had great recommendations!! Beach a block and a half away!! Absolutely loved this place and where we will book next time we come to La isla del encato!!!

The staff of Urbana Hotel was amazing and so welcoming but allowed you space to breathe. They let it be known that they are available for you 24/7 which I witness when I locked myself out of my room at 12:30, and sure enough they made me a key by the time I walked around the corner to the office. I’m not sure if it was a coincidence but it was an all female staff from what I could see. And a private parking lot next to the checkin office if you do decide to rent a car on your stay. I will definitely be returning.

I booked this place thinking it was in the heart of Old San Juan based on reviews about the “great location,” but it actually wasn’t close to much — about a 20-minute walk to the main attractions. The front desk is technically available 24/7, but only through a messaging system, and someone comes over if there’s an issue. They do respond quickly. One girl that came over at one point was not friendly whatsoever as if I was inconveniencing her: That setup made me feel a bit uneasy since there’s no on-site security, and the building felt empty even though other guests were staying there. Entry is by keypad into an empty lobby. The elevator didn’t work, and the next day we didn’t have hot water (though it was eventually fixed, the water pressure stayed low). The shower had a modern design with only half a wall and no door, which caused the bathroom floor to flood. On the positive side, the king bed room was spacious. However, overall, I wouldn’t recommend this place if you’re looking to really experience Old San Juan.
