My sister and I surprised our elderly mom with this trip to Puerto Rico. Our stay at the Hampton Inn San Juan was amazing! We all had a great time. The location is excellent and conveniently located near everything. The staff was exceptionally helpful and friendly. The breakfast staff went above and beyond to make sure the food met your expectations. We have no complaints about our stay.

I loved that the check put time was at 12 and the extra amenities. However, I did not like that they do not clean the room daily. I also feel like regular pool maintenance should be done as i found the pool dirty 2 days in a row.

This hotel was amazing! Great free breakfast daily, lovely pool with swim up bar and happy hour every night with drinks and snacks for the kids from 5-7pm. I will definitely go back!

TERRIBLE JOB FOR ME I HAD TO DO ALL THE FIGURING OUT ON THE MOBILE APPS. HOTEL & FLIGHTS ARRANGEMENTS.NEVER AGAIN WILL I BOOK WITH EXPEDIA. THE HOTEL HAD TO SHOW ME WHAT WAS NOT INCLUDED IN THE BOOKING. BUT I TRUSTED EXPEDIA BOTTOM LINE I DID NOT SAVE ANY MONEY USING EXPEDIA. I COULD HAD DID A BETTER JOB BOOKING EVERYTHING ON MY OWN, LOL NO FLIGHT SEAT NO CARRY ON BAGS, LOL I HAD TO PAY EVERYTHING AFTER I STUDY THE BOOKING EXPEDIA HAD DONE,COST ME ANOTHER 390 PLUS. WHICH I PAID .WAS THERE AN ERROR OR MISCOMMUNICATION SOMEWHERE? MAYBE SO.BUT IF SOMEONE ELDER THAN ME HAD TO CORRECT EVERYTHING LIKE I HAD TO ? THEY WOULD NOT UNDERSTAND. I enjoyed my stay but the rooms were ready late. The cleaning service is slow. Rooms should be ready on time. The staff at the swim up bar was amazing!! Shout out to Justin and the other young girl that worked with him. They made our trip worth coming back!

The hotel was fantastic and in a great location! It’s about a block and a half from the beach which the hotel has designated lounge chairs and umbrellas at no additional cost. It’s walking distance if you don’t have a car to restaurants and even a pharmacy for extra sunblock etc. The room was fine, nothing special but suitable for families and very clean. The breakfast buffet is exactly that, a buffet but it gets you fed and the coffee was fantastic. Overall, we loved it and would stay here again. Only one annoyance was that the Peloton was not working and nobody there seemed to know what do with it which is crazy. It’s plug in, connect to WiFi and go. I don’t know why that was a hardship but if you’re not working out, then this isn’t a big deal at all.

This property is a good option for a short-trip stay where you'll be out and about. The location is very convenient as it's walking distance from restaurants, coffee shops, casinos, and the beach. Pool view is not worth the extra money so I'd recommend saving on that unless you have unattended children at the pool. Breakfast, however, is most definitely worth it and my favorite amenity besides the curtains. Would stay again.
