Historic lodge in Brandon
Escape to an historic Lodge from the early 19th century facing Lake Dunmore. Minutes from The Long Trail, Brandon, and Middlebury College. Biking, hiking, hunting, fishing and watersports. Modern amenities with old world Vermont country charm. Seven Charming Bedrooms: 2 Queen Beds, 4 Double Beds, 1Twin Bed Room. Bedding provided. Three full bathrooms, one with tub. Large common areas including Breakfast Room, Dining Room, Living Room, Screened-in Sleeping Porch, Outdoor Porch, and Large Living Room. Wireless Internet access. Large stocked Kitchen with island and eating area. All kitchen items/needs supplied and dining service for 14+. Dining area seats 8 and nearby kitchen area seats 6, for a total of 14+. Large sweeping lawn overlooking Lake Dunmore which is across a country road. Private beach with walk-in access to the clear natural Lake. We have a dock, a swim platform and plenty of kayaks, canoes and lifejackets for your pleasure. The Lodge of Lake Dunmore is on a large property with several rental cabins that will have shared access to our private beach. (The Lodge itself has a back "apartment" that is not included in the rental of the Lodge, and may or may not be occupied during your stay. The "apartment" has a separate entrance.) Rustic Lakeside Fun!
Lovely setting on the lake. The kitchen was lacking some pans for cooking for a large group. Plenty of kayaks and fun for all ages!

Special place
The lodge is everything described, made for a special reunion of old friends and their families. Beautiful lake, right across street entertained everyone and world class hiking in green mountains near by. Highly recommended.
