Chittenden Vacations from $985

WONDERFUL! Wonderful! Wonderful!

I can show pictures of the unit that was very different than described. I paid extra for a Mountain View for 3 nights - and it was not Mountain View. We were in a different building at the bottom of the hill a 8 min freeezing cold and icy walk to the pool area.

We booked the White Birches suite. The quality and experience I expected based on the reviews when I booked in March were not met during my stay. Our bathroom was not well-cleaned prior to checking in. There was a large black "smudge" on the wall that looked suspiciously like black mold. The toilet paper roll on the wall dispenser was empty; the new roll was rested on top of the empty roll on the dispenser. The air intake fan in the bathroom, despite working very hard, could not accomplish a lot through a thick layer of dust. Walls were cracked and crumbling, specifically at the connection point between the shower and wall. (The crumbling area seemed to have a similar black "smudge" issue as well.) Tiles on the floor were loose and the grout was cracked and/or missing in places. The room itself was spacious, but the Spartan decor has a significant amount to do with that. The Jacuzzi tub was nice, though difficult to get in and out of. It constantly sounded like someone was vacuuming on the floor above us, in addition to a lot of noise from other hotel guests. There were many nail holes in the walls, and some exposed wiring from a missing or relocated smoke alarm. The one that was in the room was not securely attached to the ceiling. The included "breakfast" is a variety of instant oatmeal cups, granola bars, or pre-packaged muffins. This place is actively being renovated and the staff member we spoke with rebuffed our complaints and said it would be fixed during renovations.
