"A/c great , pool great, room good, except for the noise level ….and I misjudged the start of Easter celebrations. The hotel next door had no noise limits or pool capacity levels, and despite the high wall between the properties, the entire party people (yelling,screaming) may as well have been in my room! I had little sleep for the last 3 nights of my stay. Otherwise I would give a higher overall rating for the hotel. "

"We booked a room with an ocean view, which was just spectacular. Our last night we had a full moon and the light shining on the bay was so beautiful from our window. All the staff we encountered were so friendly and helpful. Parking was available and secure. "

" Rosewood Mandarina is undeniably a stunning property. The setting is breathtaking, with lush grounds, beautiful beaches, and thoughtfully designed rooms that feel both luxurious and serene. The accommodations were a highlight—spacious, well-appointed, and seamlessly integrated into the natural surroundings. That said, the overall experience was mixed. While the service was good, it lacked consistency and didn’t always meet the level one would expect at this price point. The dining was also just okay—pleasant, but not particularly memorable compared to other properties of this caliber. We enjoyed certain activities, particularly the polo experience, which was a standout. However, other offerings such as the hiking and meditation experiences felt underwhelming and not especially well executed. Our stay took an unexpected turn when we were unable to leave due to a cartel safety situation, requiring us to extend our stay by five additional days. While the team did their best under difficult circumstances and graciously comped one night, we felt there could have been more proactive guidance—particularly from the concierge—around support options such as travel insurance or alternative arrangements, given the significant added expense. "The staff is lovely, the design of the hotel is beautiful, it’s a very short walk to the beach."

"Overall, my stay was good and I enjoyed the experience. The room was clean and the staff were friendly and helpful throughout my visit. The amenities were nice and everything was generally well maintained. However, the WiFi was inconsistent and difficult to rely on at times, which was a bit frustrating. Also, the music at night could get pretty loud, making it harder to relax or sleep. Aside from those issues, it was still a solid stay and I would consider coming back with those things in mind."

"This property was very clean, staff super friendly and helpful and the location was close to the beach and central in the town of Chacala. The pool is small and shallow, best for a quick cool off or good for small children and there is not room to lounge or read a book for more than 1 person. There is; however, a rooftop terrace with loungers and shade which is very quiet with a decent view. Overall, we enjoyed the property."
