The room was clean and the bed was comfortable and towels were very soft. The breakfast was fine—nothing over the top, but it was fine. We only had 3 pillows for our bed and I asked for one more, but they didn’t have anymore. So you may want to bring your own if you like to sleep with more than one pillow. They also couldn’t give us any extra towels until they got out of the dryer, so I had to wait an hour to take a shower, as all of ours we still wet from the day before.

The location is perfect. I reserved a non-smoking / pet free room and I asked if it’s available and they said yes. As soon as you walk out of the room, you smell cigarette smoke and I couldn’t figure out why. They took out the no smoking signs out of the many doors and made it smoking allowed. On the same level in the same section. The beds were uncomfortable. Parking was easy. Breakfast was a standard simple American continental breakfast. I wish they changed that in America to something healthy. It was a lot cheaper than staying at the Harris at the casino during Labor Day. If you need a place to stay, I guess this is it because it’s close to the casino. Otherwise, no it was not good enough for us.

Overall, for the price of the room and it's location it was ok. But the property can do better with some simple things. ie the TV would not operate and they had to tape a broken remote with scotch tape. It also took the bathroom sink hours to drain. Staff was extremely friendly but they should do a few quality control checks after each stay. Thus I was a bit disappointed. There are many other places to stay in Cherokee so I challenge the location to do a better job.

The hotel was better than I expected it to be since it was a last minute dooking for me. The room was a nice size. The bed and the sofa was comfortable. The ac worked and wasn't noisy or disturbing to my sleep. The bathroom was clean and well stocked. I will choose another Microtel if needed in the future.

Our room only had four outlets, none of which were reachable from the left side of the bed, where the "phone" was, it obviously was not plugged in. Our bathroom floor was so uneven that our door would get stuck in two seperate spots when we tried to close it. The shower was not level so there was always a small bit of standing water in the shower. The towel rack in our bathroom wasn't level and towels would slide away from the shower. There was mold on the ceiling next to the air conditioning vent outside of our room. The staff was playing for the most part though, not everyone was super friendly but most of them were pretty good overall. The breakfast was okay, I wish there were more options but I can't complain too much about that for what we paid.
