Vaca Colorado Springs

yea, great spot. Five bedrooms so perfect for a large group. Nice to be in the ‘hood’, as in a nice neighborhood w/ people walking dogs and living life. Isn’t this the point of Vrbo and not getting a hotel downtown?

We loved staying here! It felt very welcoming and the owners are so kind and very responsive. it was helpful that they provided a book with restaurants and near by things. We can’t wait to come back and stay again in the future.

Beautiful & wonderful!

The location of this amazing house is perfect. The size, amenities, traffic connection and on-site parking all worked out well for us. This home is not just a vacation rental, but a home away from home. Really recommend for everyone.

We loved it!

This house is fantastic and perfect for a weekend getaway. Wendy and John have tastefully decorated the entire home and it definitely feels like a home away from home. We will be back whenever we are in the area.

Perfect Holiday getaway with Family

Travel from Georgia to spend some time with our two sons and family living in Colorado and primarily to take 3 yr old grandson on Royal Gorge Santa Express, we had so much fun! This house is amazing, location is wonderful, so close to everything. House was spacious, super clean and stocked with everything you could possibly need! We will definitely book again. Extended family girls’ trip in Colorado Springs

Theirs property was immaculate and was filled with thoughtful touches. The hosts left special treats from the area to enjoy upon our arrival. The location was within 20 minutes of the airport, the Garden of the Gods and Academy Riding Stables and 30 minutes to Manitou Springs. The living spaces provided ample comfortable seating, the kitchen was well-stocked and the bedrooms had comfortable beds. If you have a family vacation, this property should be at the top of your list!

Excellent rental!

Everything about this rental is exactly as promised in the listing! Very spacious for a combined family with comfortable sleeping space for everyone, large family room, dining room and well-equipped kitchen. The roomy deck was a great place for morning coffee and the back yard provided a space for the kids to play outdoor games. All the little extras from bowls of snacks, toiletries, and pantry dry goods made our stay feel extra special. Wendy and John were in the basement apartment during our stay, but we would never have known if we hadn't see their car in the driveway. Great hosts! Highly recommend this rental for a large family.

Spring Break Fun

This house was great! It’s plenty big enough and clean. We loved the extra special touches of the candies and snacks that were placed around. Also plenty of items like paper towels, toilet paper, all kinds of condiments and cooking supplies. The location was great for all things Colorado Springs. One of the best stays we’ve had in a VRBO! With that all being said, please note that as stated in the description the owners sometimes do stay in the basement living area during your stay. This is not a complaint just more of an observation. They are totally quiet and we did not even have any times where paths crossed. One thing worth mentioning though is when they are there and they cook, the smell will drift up into the house. Again not a complaint but make sure you know this before agreeing to rent. Still with all that we loved it and would stay again.

Spectacular

The house was spectacular! It was immaculate and spacious and had all the amenities one could possibly hope for. The furniture, large and small kitchen appliances, dishes, utensils were all new or like new. The beds were very comfortable. (I slept better here than I do in my own home.) There were many nice convenience touches that make guests feel special. The keyless entry front door was very helpful. The owners clearly take pride and succeed in serving their guests' needs. Five stars all around.

Gold Standard!!

John and Wendy are the Gold standard hosts on VRBO! We have stayed at many VRBO Properties that have been nice but none have been as well thought out for the guests! We watch Vacation House Rules and one of their bulletin points is Be Your Guest. John and Wendy have totally embraced this motto for their property! From the variety of waters in the fridge, to the breakfast bar selection, to the individual bags of chips available, to a FULLY stocked kitchen, extra linens, additional items in the medicine cabinets, assortment of games, baby supplies and the list goes on! Everything is clearly labeled to make navigating the lights, fireplace and TVs very easy! The property is super clean with supplies available if you need them during your stay. The location is great! It’s very near shopping and a ton of restaurants.

Spacious and Cozy!

This home was in the perfect location (Park nearby with basketball court, jogging path, play equipment, and picnic areas). Easy drive to Cheyenne Mountain Zoo, Red Rock, Air Force Academy, and other attractions. Short drive to King Soopers and Safeway. Home had well stocked kitchen, laundry room, and bathrooms. All our guests reported very comfortable beds. Really felt like "home" with the decor, and added touches. Lots to occupy the children (books, games, movies). We enjoyed 4th of July fireworks over the Pike Peak area from deck and upper bedroom windows. Home is spacious and we found it easy to work remotely without interruption. Highly recommend and would stay here again!

Top Choice for a great house

I looked a quite a few listings for our visit to Colorado Springs and found John and Wendy's house and thought the price was right and the pictures were inviting. We lived in Colorado Springs for many years so I was familiar with the approximate location and know it is easy to get around to where we wanted to go. The house was very spacious. We had a large group of adults and needed a place that could accommodate all of us. This house was perfect. The owners are prepared for families to have a good time. I don't think I have ever seen so many games and activities in one house. We enjoy corn hole and the backyard was perfect and the game was waiting for us. They left so many great snacks and spices for us to enjoy and the kitchen is well stocked. I cannot say enough about the house. John and Wendy are great communicators. They happily answered all my questions and helped make our stay easy. If you need anything they are just a text away. You and your family and friends will be just as satisfied.

Excellent home! Exceeds expectations!

Cannot say enough good things about this property and it’s owners. The home had more amenities than we were expecting. Which was a huge bonus when it came to all the games/toys. My nephew and niece had so much to keep them entertained. Not sure what they enjoyed more, the games/toys or sneaking candy and snacks from the dishes around the house haha. I also thought it was great that they let past renters leave behind unused food items that do not expire quickly. To many times, we have rented houses and wished we could leave behind unused snacks or extra cooking items, etc. but policies were to throw everything out. What a waste. (Side note) Drinking beers out on the balcony in the evening was also nice. Although I was jealous of how green and weed free their grass was lol. Felt like taking a nap every time I laid on it. Communication was great with Wendy and John. Always responded back quickly and were very accommodating. The brochures and other information provided for the area were also extremely helpful. We would definitely look to staying here again if we are in the area.

We had a great stay here with our big family (6 kids). There were plenty of beds for everyone and I appreciated the kids toy closet that helped entertain our one year olds. Our kids also really enjoyed playing in the backyard. There is a great running trail 0.5 mile away that I used several times. You can tell John and Wendy are old pros at hosting and have thought about nearly everything you could need for a great stay!

Wendy & John -- your home is Fabulous and Comfy! We highly recommend to all. While there were just five adults for our stay; the home is plenty big to accommodate larger families. It is Extremely Clean and Well Organized!! Which we all truly appreciated. The extra special touches of the candies and snacks placed for us were thoroughly enjoyed. The home is very well stocked with items such as paper towels, toilet paper, blankets, pillows, towels, cooking supplies, games, and so much more. Having a large washer and a dryer on site is also a plus. If you are traveling with babies or young kiddos this home is stocked and ready for them too. The binder with the information on check in/out also gives helpful info on local attractions and dining. The location is great too. While the owners do live on site, they are very quiet and our paths never crossed. This home is one of the very best VRBO stays we have had. I could just go on and on with praise and compliments. Wendy & John are excellent hosts. Our vacation was great, and this welcoming home is one of the reasons. We will definitely stay here again on future travels to Colorado Springs.
