This property is suffering from a lack of staffing, supervision and budget. The non-smoking room smelled of smoke. When mentioned to the front desk, they're like "yeah, sometimes people do that." Here's the thing, there is a $200 charge for smoking in a non-smoking room, and the hotel is supposed to fog/deodorize the room. Clearly didn't happen. Our room was missing paper towels, kitchen dish towel and a hair dryer. The front desk was happy to give these items to us. But the point is, housekeeping should have make sure those were in the room already, and the housekeeping supervisor is supposed to make sure housekeeping is doing its job. Clearly, this isn't happening. Likewise for the smoke smell. The mattress was very soft and lumpy (budget issue). The AC was very noisy when running. (Maintenance did offer to swap out the A/C unit. I told them no thanks, just check it out after we leave.) Lastly, the light above the bathroom mirror was out. Again, housekeeping should have noticed this and put in a maintenance request. Clearly, housekeeping is not getting the job done, and I suspect the hotel manager is short-staffed and short-budgeted. Until the owners step up with a bigger budget, the management company can only do so much. Unless Hilton puts pressure on ownership, this might take awhile. Until then, I would avoid this hotel.
