We stayed for 6 nights. Sean the supervisor was great. He was nice and did his best to accommodate. But our room was terrible. It was dark, smelled like cigarettes , the carpet was dirty and old and the bathroom shower curtain was torn. We complained and tried to get a new hotel thru the website we booked thru like an “even exchange”After the first night we were switched and that room was still dark. The hotel was just old and the elevator was terribly slow everyday. Until we figured out how to trick it by pressing the up button at the same time, the pool was drained the second day so the jacuzzi was closed too. Bc we were on a vacation to visit friends and family we didn’t have time due to: the only day there was time, the pool area was shut down. And on the last day I almost slipped and fell due to the cleaning lady had a full bucket of mop water by the elevator and the foyer completely wet with no signs. The main that pissed me off the maid even knowing the door was secured with the lock insisted for 20 minutes thereafter to deliver the towels. My boyfriend said it was the hotel stay from hell. Sadness. I would not recommend the doubletree hotel in Columbus, Oh. It is nothing to compare with the doubletree in California. And Expedia did not help. We are traveling to Puerto Rico in the next months we definitely will not choose to use Expedia. And the customer service is always with big accents. Very hard to understand. Which makes communication difficult

When we checked in we couldn’t get the room we selected. Then the AC wasn’t working. Asked to have it looked at but never was working right. Beds were comfortable. Bathroom had signs of water damage. And when we were checking out the front desk and much of the hotel didn’t have power.
