“What a great start to our Irish vacation. Once we found the place (hint: use the eircode), It was so easy to get settled and comfortable. The hosts are nearby and are VERY accomodating. I cannot state enough about the hospitality that they showed us in our visit. I would recommend the stay if you are planning to be around Letterkenny and are touring the northwest!”

“The value of the home was just incredible. The home, and it is a home, was so warm and welcoming. And truly felt like a family was bringing you inside to a well kept, well equipped, gorgeous home. The location is stunning, with splendid views and a sense of remoteness while being in touching distance of town, pub and shops. “Our group of 5 were entranced by the stone cottage. The expansive views were stunning. Plenty of room for all. And we took advantage of the added bonus of local oysters offered. We took daily walks in the are (especially to the local pub) and excursions throughout the county. Irene was very helpful. Loved the house so much. We will be back. ”

“A short break, overall a good time had by all. However while the overall condition of the cottage was good it could have done with a real deep clean. Bedding was obviously used and the mattress was uncomfortable as you could feel the springs through it. Furniture inside also left a lot to be desired from a comfort point of view. No Wi-Fi. TV basic and small. Rooms small. But on the positive this is really well located to local amenities, fully enclosed large back garden was great for the dog.……

“ Before booking there are a couple of things folks need to be aware of. The driveway up to the place is terrible. Its a 0.5 mile sand track and is full off deep holes 3 mph max. Its not the cleanest place with spiders webs and mould (they charge 70 for cleaning) dont know why.On the plus side. Youre right on the beach and the cottage gives you a great sense of old world living. ”

“Loved the remote location and cleanliness. House had everything we needed. We loved the sheep in the road and the twisty drive up to the house. Beautiful view out the front window. Had some wonderful fish dinners at Tara hotel in Killybegs. On the downside the mattresses were not comfortable for any of us. They were thin in the two big rooms and in the twin room it was old style and very bouncy. ”

“Great property! Lovely setting and a wonderful place to stay with beautiful walks right there. We were glad we rented a car to get around. The quiet, peaceful setting is what we wanted though! Very short walk to the beautiful ocean shore below. ”
