Very nice stay and a Wednesday night treat!

Pros: new, clean, great staff, great location.
Cons: Would $70 a night be too much to ask?
Location: Not much to do in this area. Not really a destination location rather a stop for the night location. Felt very safe though. Left my gun in my bag.
Hotel is everything you would expect from a $110 a night room. This was a rare occasion for me to get to stay in such an expensive room. I try to stick to $70/night because I spend around 150 nights a year on the road. Wednesday nights the manager puts on some type of supper. Mind you, it isn't fancy but when you have been up since 5am, driving, meetings, etc sometimes you welcome the chance to eat a couple of chili dogs, chips, salad, and have a beer all free without having to leave the hotel. This is a Wednesday night special they do.

Something off

We usually like staying here but a real fiasco this time. Had to move from room right away because of loud sound of a motor permeating the 6th floor. Woman at desk said Oh yes, they have been working on that?? Fire alarm went off in middle of night then stopped. Ceiling in new room looked like there had been a leak-- room was smaller but no adjustment in price.

2nd time here

This hotel is very convenient to the local Covington airport for General Aviation. It has quick access to the Interstate for Atlanta and Augusta. Chili's restaurant is walking distance away but all other restaurants should be driven to. A couple exits to the west on the Interstate will give you plenty of fine restaurants to dine at. I did not go east to see what was available. The room is comfortable and the staff is nice. The breakfast buffet was a little "plain" but each morning did have something a little different for the warm plate. I stayed here a year ago. It was still a good stay and I would stay again because it is clean and convenient and there were no surprises. Wi-fi service in the room was good and I was able to FaceTime to my family back home.

Horrible Experience!!!

Our stay at Hampton Inn in Covington, GA was based on previous positive customer reviews despite the fact that the cost was a little more. The check-in was fine, exterior and interior cleanliness also appeared fine. However, we found a couple of bed bugs in our room by the following morning. The matter was immediately reported to the front desk and arrangements were made to switch rooms. The supervisor on duty remained in denial about the bedbugs and attempted to insult our intelligence by calling them "ladybugs". I forgot an item and returned to find to cleaning staff looking up at the supervisor who was removing the bedbugs. Cleaning service was refused 'til check-out. We wrapped our priority items in clear plastic bags and had no response to the question about our stay at check-out. We returned home and placed our items in clear garbage bags for further examination, cleansing, etc.The experience has been needlessly exhausting. My final dealings with this hotel occurred via Hotels.com, as I was overcharged taxes because of a "glitch" in their system, which revealed a double overcharge for the room change. Supposedly 've been reimbursed and because I confirmed it was not in bank account, It will now take a while to reflect. We have no intentions on returning to any Hampton Inn. I hope folks continue being honest when reporting on hotel stays. If not, it's no telling what bedbugs is being transferred wherever we travel. The infestation will remain and issue. Think about it!!!

Very clean, easily accessible to intetstate, dining options and WalMart. Staff at check in and check out were pleasant and professional. Housekeeping staff were pleasant and courteous.
