“Food was cooked to order and every meal was so good. There was plenty of choice and there was no problem when I asked for salad instead of chips. The plates were full of good tasty food. The bed was so comfortable that we slept through the nights.”

“A fantastic stay. The lady who runs Powter Howe could not have been friendlier and was very patient with me on my arrival, including with my sad attempts to get my car into the place! This is a beautiful, proper country house - very spacious room, lovely breakfast. It is very quiet here. The log fire was amazing and it was great to spend a quiet evening here away from it all! “Very quiet, cozy & comfortable Inn. Although located in a remote area of Lake District, easy to find & can reach other spots easily. Must try the dinner at the restaurant which is very good with reasonable price. Only the towel rack in my room is not working which is a minor stuff. Furthermore everything in the breakfast seems overcooked.”
