"Dragon Flies, Fireflies, Deer, Ground hog, turtles, fish and the occasional hawk sighting. This has got to be one of the most peaceful, relaxing, enjoyable stays I have yet encountered in my years of staying at VRBOs. A terrific experience. From the first communication, to checking out, everything was at it should be and better. Upon arrival late at night, the lights where on for us, the A/C was on making the temperature just right and after a 15 hour drive, finding ice ready for us was a treat. Plenty of linens and towel, even some spices and two types of coffee makers with coffee available was great. The only issue one might have would be the smaller fridge but surprisingly, it had a bigger than average freezer compartment for a unit of that size. I hope to return to this sanctuary again soon. I am planning on staying there again soon."

"There are nice places to see pretty things in the world, then there are nice places to see pretty things that bring something 'more' even still to the table. Piney Creek Cabins falls into the latter for me. It is just so peaceful and serene and the wildlife habitat aspect is just awesome."

"It was a beautiful setting to be in. The lake was amazing & hearing all the frogs at night was fun. The cottage itself was so cute & well designed it to maximize the space. The kitchen was the perfect size & the view out the back porch was refreshing. I really appreciated that this place was pet friendly so I was able to bring my two dogs. However, during the email notification process before checkin, saw there would be a $100 fine if dog hair was found in the sheets. I brought dog beds for my dogs to sleep in on the floor anyway, but I don’t know about any other pet owners, I get dog hair on me & it goes in my sheets too because it’s on my clothes :). So that was a little stressful. My only real issue was the king bed frame was noisy (loud any time you moved) & I found the bed itself uncomfortable which was sad. I think a new bed would make this place the perfect getaway. The only reason I didn’t give 5 stars in cleanliness was the bugs in the house, and having to wash some dishes that I pulled out of the cabinet that just didn’t look clean. Also a clump of hair in the sheets when I got in bed the first night. The sheets were clean, it was just clearly from the dryer. It was ironic considering the dog hair fee listed :). Remember you’re in the woods, so lots of bugs outside. Had to kill a few spiders inside, but again, you’re deep in the woods, so you expect some of that wildlife. Overall a really cute cottage & a beautiful environment to take in & get away!"
