Had an amazing stay here. The staff was very professional and friendly. They called us to confirm and check in on us as we had a late arrival. The Inn was clean and breakfast was great. You’re only a few minutes from Mt. Rushmore. So much history in the building. Would definitely stay here again.

The hotel was close to everything. Everyone was friendly. Breakfast was not really breakfast. Just cereal and oatmeal. Otherwise it was great.

The most important event in Deadwood, South Dakota history was a poker game in Saloon #10 on August 2, 1876, where the sniveling coward Jack McCall snuck up and shot Wild Bill Hickok in the back of the head. Hickok had arrived in Deadwood only a few weeks earlier, played a succession of card games, and never in his life sat with his back to the door. Until that day. Above the town, on a ridge, tourists can visit the graves of Wild Bill and Calamity Jane in Mount Moriah Cemetery.
