“Stayed 2 nights end of May and was disappointed. The beach setup was not as advertised in the photos and appeared unprepared for the season. Basic amenities were lacking. Beach towels were not available at reasonable hours, and even after being told they would be brought out, they never were. Seating by the beach had no proper padding, and what was available was very limited and dirty. Visible trash everywhere along the shoreline area. People kept coming down looking for a spot and had to go……

Meal plan is expensive, but there are many nice seafood / Italian restaurants on the beach promenade 1.5 km south ( an easy walk or quick taxi ride). The beach is lovely with great swimming once you wade beyond the shallow sand bar 25 m from shore. Unfortunately a naval facility on the south border patrols their fence and prohibits Long Beach walks on their shore, but tourists had no problem walking the beach Northward after……
