Not many options for food in the surrounding area but the hotel offers a good breakfast and it’s an easy journey into the centre on public transport. Would highly recommend. "

"The hotel is 5 minute walk to the train which gets you to the Amsterdam Centraal station in 6 minutes. The hotel and rooms are modern with comfortable beds, although they are not very spacious. We opted for the buffet breakfast which was excellent. The staff was very nice and courteous. We would stay there again."

"The Grand Hotel Amrâth is an incredible historic hotel. It is very centrally located near Central train station. My room on the 3rd floor had high ceilings and floor to ceiling windows overlooking the canal. Absolutely gorgeous! They have many original museum pieces from when they were a shipping house in the early 1900’s. I truly enjoyed my stay. I would say my only complaint would be that they did not have a ramp to bring luggage up the front stairs. The bellman does help if he is waiting in front but if not, pretty challenging. Have some great videos of my room but unfortunately won’t upload on the site "

"A great hotel for a short break within easy walking distance of museums, cafe's, shops and restaurants, as well as parks, canals and transportation. Very ‘cosy’ rooms (small) with comfortable beds and decent clean amenities including a fridge, hairdryer, safe, tv and kettle. Nice view over the courtyard outside seating area. We didn’t eat there, but had a few drinks in the bar which was lovely. Staff were all very friendly and helpful throughout our stay."

"We thought this was a lovely hotel. Clean, spacious and very pretty. Our room was huge and felt very luxurious. There was no A/C but I didn't check for that when booking. We also ate at the restaurant, staff were very friendly and helpful. The food was great! When I'm next in Amsterdam I'll be staying here!"
