Slow Wi-Fi in our room just 1 bar but maybe different for other rooms. Decor needs update and carpets etc bathroom was ok ish but could do with a thorough clean. Very strange Bar payment system having to collect tokens from reception to pay for any drinks in bags of €20 euro. Drinks 8 euro for half litre...

"Across the street from RR station. 15 minute walk to main Christmas markets, excellent staff. RR Station unmanned Sunday mornings, which was a hassle when my train got cancelled and i had to "wing it" to get to Brussels."

"I enjoyed the proximity to the train station. The hotel is located right next to Valkenburg train station and just 10 minutes by train from Maastricht train station. The double room was spacious. The walls are painted dark brown. They seem intimidating. The refrigerator didn't work. In the room I found three worried beetles. The price during the Vrijthof concerts in Maastricht is overpriced. Nevertheless, the hotel is a good option."

"We really enjoyed our stay here, driving up felt like entering the set of Downton Abby!! We stayed in one of the side apartments - it was so beautiful and we loved the walking path near by. The down side is that we didn't get sheets or towels provided, (also no hand soap!) By the time we noticed, the staff had already left for the evening. Luckily we had some of our own bedding, There had been some discussion about sheets during check in, but there must clearly have been a misunderstanding. ...

"The location of this hotel is good, and it was clean, staff very nice, but it's a pretty run down old hotel, and our room was really small and terribly hot, even with the window open, and the fan running 24 hours, it was still really hot. Bathroom is tiny. breakfast doesn't open until 9AM, which is quite late if you want to get up and go somewhere, so we had to get breakfast at a different place. "Had a really lovely stay, comfortable, quiet, relaxing. Check in and check out was smooth and efficient. They made an effort to speak our own language the staff were so friendly and welcoming. Only area for improvement would be a separate shower bathroom, as it was a wet room shower over the toilet. Would definitely recommend. "
