"For the price, this was a really good hotel. The views of the lake are great. We really enjoyed the owner and son. Chatting with them is nice. Lots of food options and shopping around. Their restaurant had great BBQ food. AND, pale ale (first I saw in all of Nepal). I recommend a stay. But dont expect a palace...you pay for a good stay. You get it. "

"Comfortable room after asking to change when saw room offered on arrival. Rooms donor look as good as photos. Only real minus was the level of noise from 6 am as guests getting ready for early safaris banged doors and talked loudly in corridors outside of rooms."

"Hi, my name is Dhan. I booked this hotel through hotels.com & had some reservation about it because I didn't know that much about this hotel ( Kathmandu Mantra). When I went there, OMG, I couldn't believe it. The hotel is brand new, managers/ owners(2 Young gentlemen) gave me very good reception. They are very polite, friendly & energetic. "The Dwarika is an oasis. The spa and gym facilities are out of this world. It is a living cultural museum with wood carvings and art and traditional but fancy local cuisine. It was exactly what I needed after the Everest Marathon, a place to detox and recover. Even the air is better and sweeter in the hotel. It isn’t near Thamel but that is why it is peaceful. I can’t imagine staying anywhere else. It isn’t the luxury, it is the support of Nepali and Newari traditions that put it over the top. PS The basil lemonade is addictive PPS The lady who manages the treatment center is a fourth generation healer and she has an incredible nasya recipe for your sinuses and lungs PPS Try a game of Tigers and Goats"

"The front desk staff were absolutely fantastic — very efficient, professional, and friendly. I was extremely happy with their service. The breakfast was also excellent. There was a wide variety of food, and the chefs, serving staff, and supervisors all provided outstanding service. The coffee was among the best I’ve had in Kathmandu, and the latte service was impressively quick. I’m leaving with wonderful memories of my stay at the Hilton. "
