![It was a rainy day on our visit here, but we still enjoyed Barbados. St. John's Parish Church is the first church of St. John that is presumed to have been a simple wooden building, but its date is unknown. The parish along with St. George, was carved out of St. Michael in 1640–1641. But successive churches were badly damaged by the hurricane of 1675, the Great Hurricane of 1780, and finally destroyed by the Great Barbados hurricane of 1831. The present church building (the fifth) was built is 1836, and the chancel added in 1876. “Chester was great host and I had wonderful time In Barbados. The accommodation isnt far from beaches and attractions but far enough so I would suggest renting a car, other than that the accommodation was clean, housekeeping did a great job and I definitely would stay again.”

“Climate in Barbados is just perfect. Needed transport to get around so hired a scooter. Property owner collected us from the airport on arrival and returned us at the end of our stay. He also offered to take us to St Lawrence Gap where we hired the scooter. Accommodation comfortable and could accommodate a family of four or five if necessary, but is a bit old fashioned. Overall we have thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would recommend it. Love Barbados and don't want to go home to wet and cold……

“The property was located in a transitional space surrounded by residential properties where there were barking dogs and construction underway. We were in unit 8 which was a bit of a hike especially when carrying a lot of items like groceries or beach gear. Overall the interior of the property itself was very clean and served our family nicely for our short stay on the island. One callout it would have been nice for a little additional seating for guests. ”
