“It was short walk from the train station and like 50 minutes from London. The restaurant in the hotel is pretty good and the bus to colchester city center is pretty good. The hotel was clean and check out was pretty easy as well.”

“The hotel was lovely, and the swimming pools amazing! The staff were lovely and friendly and really helpful. However, the rooms do not have air conditioning and become very hot when you can only open a small window. They did supply a fan, but it was still very hot. Breakfast really wasn't very good. The two nights we were their the breakfast was stone cold one day and luke warm the next, and the scrambled egg was like rubber! Other than the food the room was lovely and as the say the swimming……

“We had an amazing time here. The room was good, clean and smelling fresh. Shower was good, air-con. No complaints.”

“I paid full board including the evening meals as a birthday treat for my wife, which was quite a bit extra, but at the end of our stay they charged me again for dinners. The receptionist said that becouse I had not booked directly through them I was not entitled to do this, which ment paying twice for the meals, and that I was misinformed by the waitress who had said that the meals would be deducted from my final bill. The staff where very nice but didn't seem to know much about this situation……

“I think a lot of people has reviewed on this. But I can only said air conditioning system issue need to be fix. Otherwise it is hard for other customer wants to stay. It is summer time and the air conditioning system not work. All you got is a fan will only have little help. Can you imagine stay in the room with 27C? And there is not compensation. Charging almost 100 pound per night, and it is the sleep environment we got.”

“We only booked at 4pm and they had one room left so it wasn’t the best but we got a good price. Bed was comfy. Staff are friendly and pleasant. We had the Sunday roast and it was very good. Would stay again.”
